Péter Lakatos is the partner of an international law firm, Köves Clifford Chance LLP, who came close to classic music since his early ages through his piano studies. He always aimed to maintain this connection and to do something for the case of classic music. It was a great opportunity, when, together with his partners, he started this project, since by using his legal and business experiences, he did a lot to introduce the Hungarian classical musicians to the world through MusiciansWho.

The historic building of the  Vigadó is currently run by Foundation for Art and Community Culture which was set up in 1992 by the Ministry of Culture and Public Education for the promotion of the cultural activity of civil society and to support music and various other fields of culture. The Foundation is directed by an advisory board comprising 17 renowned members of the different fields of culture and art. Its main source of originates from the commercial-based leasing of the office building in Vörösmarty tér which adjoins the historic building of the Vigadó.
